So I’ve not written on here in ages.  It’s been a building year for us in BearFace and at BearTrack Recording.  Here are a few updates:

BearFace solidified new membership with drummer Nathan Shay.  We couldn’t be more excited about the new songs we’re working on as well as the older ones that are being refreshed!

BearTrack Recording became an LLC.  We’re currently working on web design and are probably going to launch that in early 2012.

Jeremiah got work at a great recording studio in Kansas City and BearFace is going to work on an EP there.  That’ll probably be happening in early 2012 as well.  So, in the meantime, we’re working out parts for all of the songs we’ll be recording.  

So, here’s a track we’ve been working on.  Hope you all enjoy.  And we are so excited for 2012!  I feel like a lot’s happened this year and it looks like there’ll be a lot more coming ahead.  

Things to expect in 2012:

- New EP from BearFace

- New projects and website from BearTrack Recording

- BearFace tours to Colorado, Missouri area, and possibly the Chicago area.

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on here.  Or at least it certainly feels like a very long time, perhaps because it feels like life has completely changed.  Some cool stuff:

We’re getting ready to play a couple quick shows in Colorado this week.  I’ve been working with a drummer and the songs are coming along beautifully.  We were hoping for more shows but I think this sort of trip will just allow us to relax a bit more and establish some genuine relationships with people while we’re out.  

It’ll be an excellent trip for both of us but I know we’ll both be missing the ladies in our life.  My drummer is married with four children and I can only imagine how much he’ll miss them while we’re out together.  I’ll be missing being with the woman I love.  I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter friend as she’s been extremely supportive of my dreams and encouraging as I’ve gotten ready to hit the road for a few days.  (I kind of hope she’s reading this)  I hope you guys all get to meet her.  I’ll be working on convincing her to join me on stage in the future as she’s a fantastic singer and could definitely help fill out our sound on the guitar.  

Anyway, that’s been life as of late, and no complaints here.  Here’s the newest song we’ll be doing in Colorado this week.  Hope you guys all enjoy!

So, I downloaded this free software to help me learn some Swedish… way more difficult than I thought.

I got asked to maybe produce a record for a new friend’s band in Sweden and I may just take her up on that.  Here’s to a springtime visit to Sweden, and (hopefully) some new language skills…

Where in the world are we coming to play?!?!

Well, we’ll be letting you know sometime this fall.  The BearFace Wintour 2011 will be happening over parts of January and February.  I’m so incredibly excited!!  It’s going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share my music with you guys.  So we’ll be keeping you posted on some cities we’ll be coming to.  Love.

Hey friends.

So, it’s been a while since I posted a demo of a BearFace tune.  And, none of them have had real drums on them… TILL NOW!!  Did some tracking the other day.  This is just a rough mix, and it still doesn’t have the ends cut down, so don’t freak out when it doesn’t start right away.  The audio starts at 0:13.  Anyway, it’s a song called “To Green From Grey” (a working title, as always).  It’s probably one of my favorites that we do for BearFace and I hope you guys enjoy it.
